The main compartment is top loading with an extra flap and compartment that clip down over it. This includes two drawstrings for choosing different pack sizes.

10"x11"x12 of this space can be used separately as a sleeping bag area accessible from the bottom of the pack

One pocket in the top flap 11" x 10" x 4" as well as two waist level water bottle holders

Fully well padded shoulder and waist straps

Multiple adjustments on shoulder straps and waist straps allow you to choose a good fit for your back

Also, Shoulder Straps can be disconnected at the center of the pack and moved up and down for proper adjustment

 As you can see in the pictures, there are straps on the bottom of the pack for attaching a sleeping pad etc.
